  I have been eating at the Grand Durbar for about 15 years (not every day of course, just once every month or two!).
  
  It is about mid-range on price, but I've never been disappointed with the food or the service, which is why I keep returning.
  
  The food is very much the standard offerings you expect from an Indian restaurant. The taste is good though and the presentation and service is excellent.
  
  The place is always full, so book before you go or you will probably be disappointed.
  
  Many of the people eating here are Indian, which I think is a good sign that the food is authentic.
  
  The staff, often the manager, will usually come over to your table during the meal to say hello and check that everything is okay.

  This has been in Leicester for as long as I can remember. Its a good indian restaurant and if someone was to describe an indian restaurant in UK - this would come pretty close. The food here I feel is primarily catering for the non-veg loyal clientelle. The customer service here is excellent but the food somewhat lacks that edge and gives the dated feeling.
  
  Maybe a new fresh look would bring this to 5 star. If you don't change - this restaurant risks being left behind the competition and there is lot of it in Leicester.

  I have visisted this curry house approx. once a 1/4 every year and keep coming back because the staff are nice, look after you and help explain new and recommended dishes for you to try. Most importantly, the food is always of a high standard and reasonably priced.
